Day 14 - Nature's Jewelry

To think, this was just hanging there, waiting for someone to notice. Mother nature's jewelry.

Day 13 - Already?!

A close-up look at some beautiful pink flowers. Bougainvillea, I believe. And a little water, of course. Happy Sunday!

Day 12 - End of Day

Last night while walking the dog I came upon a wonderful surprise.  I love when that happens.

What did you experience today, something you didn't expect, that made your heart smile?

Day 11 - A New Landscape

Today I finally took the time to paint. Watercolors. However, I was not happy with the result of my effort. And yet the painting kept calling to me. It eventually occurred to me that I'd been painting with water and color... and I LOVE taking photos of water droplets.

Out came the camera (of course) and I plopped the painting down onto the floor, in the sunshine. Well, partially in the sunshine. And then the creativity started to flow.

I still do not like the painting. But I love this photo. Please click on the photo so you can see it close-up. There's an amazing landscape, albeit, of a different species, that emerges from the colors and textures, and of course the water.

I LOVE what I do.

Day 10 - Creating

CLICK PHOTO for a view of the details

I took this creative challenge so that I would create something new every day. I thought I would be creating using my art supplies. However, I'm finding the computer much more appealing and rather than fight the urge, I'm just going with the flow.

This WAS a photograph. I made many adjustments to its coloring and contrast, etc., then converted it to look like a pen sketch. I really like the details. They're small, so you may need to click on the photo to be able to see them.

This was so much easier than drawing it myself!

Day 9 - Sometimes

CLICK PHOTO for a larger view.

I've been color correcting photos all day today and I just had an overwhelming urge to do something WILD with one of them.     ... So I did.

Day 7 - Manifesting

Like most people, I would like to create more income.

Right now.

Tonight my friend, Jackie, said, "Visualize everyone coming to you with money in hand, trying to stuff it into your pockets!"

I really liked that idea! So tonight, I created a reminder for myself... Perhaps you would like to use it too.

Happy prospering!

Day 5 - Dog Day

A wet dog is a happy dog.
Hey, who added colored sprinkles to the water?

Day 4 - The Fine Line of Focus

First Photo:
This is a bar of soap. It's encased in wool. Sprayed with a mist of water. My camera is fully zoomed in. There is a small line, from left to right, that is in focus. I like that skinny little line. That Fine Line of Focus. (Feel free to click on the first photo - it will take you to a larger photo.)

Second Photo:
This is the same photo as above, zoomed in as far as possible, AFTER the photo was taken. I love the way there appears to be another world that the naked eye looks right past... so minute that we don't know to look for it. This photo looks almost like a landscape, perhaps in a fairytale world.

This makes me wonder just HOW MUCH we cannot see. Every day. Every minute. Every second.

I'm willing to bet that it's exponentially greater than what we are able to see.

And that makes me smile.

Day 3 - Painting With Light

Looks to me like there's an arm coming out of the top of his head.

Cool colors, lots of motion.

I've been playing with my camera in the dark tonight. I came up with a couple of images that I like. I'm painting with light - and I don't have to clean my paintbrushes afterward!

What do you see?

Day 2 - Denial

I am naturally right handed. They say if you use your non-dominant hand for creative activities it makes you brain work in a different way (and that's an overly simplistic explanation). So, why not?

This is my Left-Handed Drawing for today. I got the idea for the caricature because it seems like men are so much more comfortable with their bodies than women are.
And they also seem to be in denial about how they really look. Sometimes.

But, then, who's not in denial from time to time?

Day 1 - Creative Everyday - Wasberries!

I am fascinated with the interplay of water on natural substances. Tonight I decided to do a macro-study of some raspberries I had in the refrigerator. I am dazzled by the literal landscape that is typically unnoticed, due to it's small size, which I am able to capture with my camera. I love macro photography. Welcome to the world of raspberries. And water droplets. (Click on photos for an even closer look!)

I Double Dog Dare Ya - Be Creative Everyday

My friend, Sandra Belegi, and I are challenging each other. In an effort to be deliberately creative every day, we have challenged each other to a creative post every day for the next month. If that goes well, we're contemplating a year of it, but let's not count our chickens before they've hatched.

The rules are as follows:
1. There are no rules.
2. See rule number 1.

And with that, we're off and running, or drawing, or creating. After all, anything goes.

That's me with Sandra and her amore, Jay.
