I've taken to really looking around while walking my dog, and it's amazing what I notice when I examine my surroundings. During the 'usual' walk I find something new every day that I didn't notice the day before. It's not that it wasn't there, I simply didn't notice it. It makes me wonder how much more there is that I've not noticed.
These teeny, tiny flower-like buds were embedded in the lawn, in one particular spot. They're so tiny that you wouldn't know they're there, unless you were crawling around in the grass... ahem. So, I picked a bunch (most of them) and brought them home to take some photos. They're laying atop a hibiscus leaf in these photos and they're dwarfed by the leaf.
I love the way some of them seem to float in thin air. That's because of the thin line of focus when the camera is focused in that closely. In fact, you can actually see the 'line of focus' in one of the photos. (I noted it under the second photo.)
After that is another, totally unrelated the first three. Just for the heck of it...

| The thin 'line of focus' can be seen in the leaf, starting near the beginning of this caption. |
